This presentation  represents what we learned this semester in our foundation seminar for the  Arts Residential College. We have focused on topical issues in relationship  to music and the arts. Through the use of songs and their impactful lyrics,  artists are able to address issues promoting change and awareness.

Music has always served as a way for artists to invoke change especially in  regards to social issues. This mixtape focuses on songs that address issues  of gender inequality, sexual orientation, and gender identification. There is  a wide range of artists that are discussed including Beyonce and Frank Ocean.
