March, authored by John Lewis and Andrew Ayden and illustrated by Nate Powell, follows the civil rights movement through John Lewis's eyes. John Lewis was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement and is a current US congressman. March follows his journey as a civil rights leader and explores his admiration for Martin Luther King Jr. March claims that racism is not a past issue, but rather one that deserves ample attention to this day. Authors Lewis and Ayden use language to creatively promote the reader's interest in the social justice issues that Lewis has fought for throughout his life.
