In the new era of  technology, there have been innovations created to benefit all generations.  For example, phones for communication, GPS systems for navigation, and for  sports, biometric systems. Biometrics is the technical term for body  measurements and calculations. This information can allow coaches and  statisticians to assess physical and physiological information of a  players’ performance and recovery in their given sport. In the sport of  field hockey, as the game becomes more competitive, high-level programs are  beginning to rely more and more heavily on the statistics and data produced  by games and practices. In working alongside Coach Jeremy Cook, an analysis  of individual players’ fitness and in-game performance was conducted. We  will discuss the results of our study and recommendations that we were able  to make to improve team efficiency.
